General Election

Norman Lamb has been re-elected as Member of Parliament for North Norfolk in the 6 May General Election, with 27,554 votes.

The turnout was 73.3. per cent - 49,737 ballots out of a total electorate for the North Norfolk constituency of 67,851 voters.

The full results from the count at Cromer Sports Hall, which were declared at around 3.45am, were:

BAKER, Michael John Morton (UK Independence Party) - 2680 votes
BOSWELL, Andrew Philip (Green Party) - 508
HARRIS, Philip Alan (Labour Party) - 2896
IVORY, Trevor Charles Colin (Conservative Party) - 15,928
LAMB, Norman Peter (Liberal Democrats) - 27,554
MANN, Simon Edgar (Independent) - 95

There were 76 rejected ballot papers.

 

Lancaster South Ward

John Lisher has become the new North Norfolk District Councillor for Lancaster South Ward in Fakenham. The ballots were counted today [Friday, 7 May] at Fakenham.

The full results were:

FITZPATRICK, Tom (Conservative Party) - 784 votes
LISHER, John (Liberal Democrats) - 1066
WIEDMANN, Monika (Green Party) - 122

The turnout was 61.1 per cent, and there were 20 rejected papers.
