The Cliff Top Inn at the Castaways Holiday Park in Bacton has announced that it will be holding social meet-ups for Ukrainian families and their sponsor families.

These meet-ups will take place on the first and third Sunday of every month starting from Sunday 15, May, at the Cliff Top Inn between 2pm and 4pm.

The meet-ups will give Ukrainian families the chance to meet other Ukrainians in the area and offer sponsors the chance to interact and meet up with other sponsors.

At the venue, they have a playground for children to play together and on sunny days they will meet on the beach next to the inn.

The Cliff Top Inn will be offering complimentary refreshments such as tea and cakes.

The social meet up will give the families the chance to make friends, share experiences and support each other.

Anna Hollis, Castaways Holiday Park, said:

“The reason we decided to host these worthwhile events is to give sponsors and Ukrainian refugee families the chance to meet up, share their experiences and make friends.

Going through the process is challenging but rewarding and knowing that you are not alone and that there are families just like us going through the same process will be extremely useful. We have a playground for the children and direct access onto a sandy beach, ideal for meeting up in the summer months.”

Oksana Croom, North Norfolk District Council, Ukrainian Community Support Officer said:

“This is a fantastic opportunity for displaced Ukrainian families to meet up and make new friends.

They are overwhelmed by the amount of help and support from their sponsors and local authorities. I really hope these people can quickly integrate into our society and be happy”

No booking is necessary. Ukrainian families and their sponsors are welcome to just turn up on the day. For any further details, you can contact Anna Hollis on 07799067872.
