North Norfolk District Council is part of the Norfolk Warm Homes Partnership. The Norfolk Warm Homes grant provides energy efficient home improvement works for people who live in homes that are not heated by mains gas.

The grant is aimed at supporting homeowners or private renters who don’t have mains gas heating to help them improve the energy efficiency of their properties. If you live in a housing association home please call them first.

The government-funded grants for owner-occupiers are fully funded and all works are carried out by vetted contractors who are all registered with Trustmark and MCS. Norfolk Warm Homes has a dedicated team to support property owners throughout the whole process.

The Norfolk Warm Homes Grant can offer home improvements such as:

  • Loft and cavity wall insulation
  • Solid wall insulation
  • Flat and room-in-roof insulation
  • LEDs and insulating jackets
  • Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP)
  • Solar panels

Please note that the grant can’t fund boiler repairs, gas, LPG or oil boilers, solar panels as a standalone installation, windows or doors or direct support with energy bills.

Cllr Wendy Fredericks, Portfolio Holder for Housing and People Services, said:

“Please do get in touch with Norfolk Warm Homes or look at their website to check eligibility. We also have a dedicated Energy Officer at the Council who can help you with other grant funding which maybe suitable. If you are worried about paying your energy bills contact your energy company in the first instance. They might have schemes to help you."

Norfolk Warm Homes has a list of approved, vetted contractors who undertake the work for you.
