North Norfolk District Council (NNDC) has launched a new digital space for businesses in the district, called Invest North Norfolk.

Invest North Norfolk is a portal for businesses of all sizes and stages and offers a wide range of support as they grow and develop. It provides access to up-to-date grant funding, business advice, networking events and a range of advice across all business sectors.

Alongside funding and advice, Invest North Norfolk has a directory of industrial estates, enterprise zones, NNDC letting opportunities. Pre-application planning system is available to support businesses as they navigate the process of building and or expansion.

Another key strand of Invest North Norfolk is to support and encourage businesses who wish to become more environmentally sustainable - many businesses may need help and advice, and there are links to schemes which will help them become more sustainable or improve their environmental impact.

Cllr. Paul Heinrich, portfolio holder for Sustainable Growth said:

“North Norfolk District Council is committed to improving the business climate for North Norfolk’s economy and helping businesses in the district grow and flourish. From accessing grant schemes, understanding new trends and information on the latest developments, or simply accessing the right advice.

Our aim is to provide business development support at all stages, and through our commitment to businesses, we will help support the local economy.”

Martyn Fulcher, Director for Place and Climate Change said:

“This presents a strong opportunity for businesses, with up-to-date advice and guidance on the latest financial support available.

I would encourage all businesses to actively engage with this new portal - Invest North Norfolk. No matter the size or stage of development – clear and concise support will be available and easy to find.”

The UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) & Rural England Prosperity Fund (REPF) are now open for businesses to apply for, with a programme of grants and support schemes over the next two years. Both businesses and community groups may be able to benefit from the range of support available through these two programmes.

The Council is working with several partner agencies, such as the New Anglia LEP, Visit North Norfolk and Norfolk County Council to administer elements of this wide-ranging programme.

NNDC has an award-winning record delivering grants and was recognised at the Public Finance Awards in 2021 for its performance in the delivery of COVID-19 grants.
