Local Plan (Current)
The Local Plan guides development in North Norfolk
The Council is preparing a new Local Plan. See Local Plan (New) for further details.
The Local Plan, also known as the Local Development Framework (LDF), is a collection of planning documents which guides development decisions in North Norfolk. These documents set out the Council's planning policies for meeting the community's economic, environmental and social needs where this affects the development and use of land.
The Local Plan allows the Council to manage development in the area and sets out the factors it will take into account when determining planning applications.
The Local Plan comprises the following development plan documents:
Development Plan Documents
- Core Strategy & Development Management Policies
- Proposals Map
- Site Allocations
- Adopted Neighbourhood Plans
Supplementary Planning Documents (SPD)
These documents add further detail to the policies in the development plan. They provide further guidance for development on particular issues or sites. Supplementary Planning Documents are capable of being a material consideration in planning decisions, but are not part of the development plan.
