Established in 2011, Enterprise Zones are at the heart of the government’s long-term economic plan, supporting businesses to grow sustainably. They intend to deliver long-term economic growth based on innovation, enterprise and partnership working, attracting new businesses and creating jobs whilst enabling investment into necessary supporting infrastructure.
Enterprise Zones are geographically defined areas hosted by Local Enterprise Partnerships in which commercial and industrial businesses can receive incentives to set up or expand.
North Norfolk has one Enterprise Zone:
Scottow Enterprise Park is a 600-acre site based on the former RAF Coltishall. They offer units to rent, virtual tenancy, business support and film location hire.
Where North Norfolk District Council has received a planning application, our team will normally be asked to consult on the application and provide our comments on its economic impact. So that we can provide a comprehensive comment, we would normally discuss the application with the applicant to understand the applicant’s business strategy or business plan.
