Investing in energy systems alongside new equipment, improving productivity, creating new employment and increasing sustainability of the business.
Naked Kitchens, operating from a large aircraft hangar on the former West Raynham Airfield, are one the UK’s leading bespoke kitchen manufacturers. The business is renowned for crafting bespoke kitchens that seamlessly blend traditional craftmanship with modern design. The business prides itself on using the highest quality materials available. The award-winning Highgate kitchen, for example, features a central island crafted from a single slab of dark marble, luxuriously complemented by walnut cabinetry, exemplifying their meticulous attention to detail.
Despite the significant advantages of having a big space to work in, this has also brought the challenge as to how to heat the unit whilst reducing their reliance on fossil fuels. In early 2022, Naked Kitchens invested in a super-efficient biomass and extraction system, which is fitted with a ceramic flue filter to eliminate any harmful emissions. The system has substantially increased the sustainability of the business, using all waste timber and sawdust to heat the internal rooms as well as providing heating for the paint drying process. This considerable investment has allowed Naked Kitchens to become one of the most optimised manufacturers for waste elimination.
The company has also upscaled its processing efficiency. Having successfully secured grant funding from North Norfolk District Council, the business has made a significant investment into a new machine to manufacture shaker doors. This has helped the business to produce a high-end, quality product, whilst maintaining a balance between hand craftmanship and precision engineering.
These investments are part of committed to drive innovation within the sector whilst improving the businesses commitment to sustainability.
Sustainability has always been a core driver in what we do and how we do it. We can’t think of a more full-circle example of sustainability.Alexander Everett,
